No other racetrack in America has the nerve to put up guarantees on the P4 and P6 like SoCal does, $400K and $150K on the weekends, pretty ballsy for a brand new meet in November, WTG!
I've found it easier to tear up tickets at 8/1 instead of 8/5.

Fallon enjoying his time at Del Mar

Before Friday Kieren Fallon, a six-time British riding champion widely considered one of the greatest "flat" jockey of his generation and one of the greatest ever, had never been to Del Mar. But, after his first ride at the seaside oval, the 49-year-old took a spot near a table in the jockeys' room dining area and, with the lilt and brogue of his native County Clare, Ireland, declared how he really liked the place.

Yes PJMIII I own Qeen of the Sand and it was a very pleasing and impressive run from her. Mike Smith didn't really ask her at all, she circled the field on her own.

All being well, its the Matriarch Stakes next, but, of course, that's a huge ask/step up for her!!!

Well, congratulations and best of luck in the Matriarch!
I ran marathons. I saw the Taj Mahal by Moonlight. I drove Highway 1 in a convertible. I petted Zenyatta.

I just watched the replay. She ran a real nice race and certainly looked like she had a lot left.

Good luck in the Matriarch.

Big Macher refuses to lose in Cary Grant

Every journey begins with a first step, and the first step for Big Macher on Sunday was an important one. In his prior start, he had stumbled at the start of the Breeders’ Cup Sprint, effectively eliminating his chances in the 14-horse field. But when he came out of the gate smoothly on Sunday at Del Mar in the $100,000 Cary Grant Stakes, his rivals were in trouble.
