Surprised to see the 9 year old gelding, Life in Shambles, in R6 at Adquduct today (he was 2nd). He's graded stakes placed over the course of his career and has kept some pretty good company sprinting. Hope he gets a good retirement soon.

Silver Dust won the Mineshaft Stakes (Gr. 3) at Fairgrounds. Kind of crazy his trainer said Silver Dust is the oldest horse he has ever raced and he is age 6.

Silver Dust has been disqualified and placed last after he tested positive for levasimole (hope I spelled it right) because of the dewormer Joe Sharp's horses were also disqualified for.

For as many fans as he has around here, myself included, I'm surprised nobody mentioned good old Whitmore winning the Hot Springs Stakes at Oaklawn yesterday. About as hard trying as they come. Starting to get up there in years, but no less competitive - and creeping up on that 3 million mark.

Whoops - sorry about that. In that he is without certain "parts", I usually look for him in this thread.

From Modest Beginnings, Chindi Thrives in Pony Role

It was Chindi Day at Oaklawn today. The old guy (now 26) looked wonderful. Barbara Livingston posted several terrific photos on Twitter. This one was my favorite:
