West made one of those technically correct statements you should never make. I find it hard to believe he isn't personally generous with aftercare, at least I sure hope he is, but that comment is still a bad look. Forcing people to donate, especially in specific places, is a slippery slope. There were far better ways for TSG to handle this.

I actually agree with West on some level, if Stronach wants to make a statement about aftercare, he should make a statement out of his own pocket. That being said, I don't begrudge aftercare any penny they get.
Exactly. West needs to start thinking before he speaks and then not speak but as I’ve said, he’s not wrong.

Handling things poorly must be a family trait.

Yes West is technically correct, but... c'mon.

I'd love to see that 2% implemented across all graded races/stakes to be honest. Instead of running for 3.000.000 they get to run for 2.940.000. We're only talking about a 60k difference in a 3 million race, laughable to be angry about that... That's like spare change for such a big purse.

I don't like that guy, but I have respect for him because at least he's honest about it.

(Btw in that case and in my line of work I do put the money where my mouth is, before anyone says that it's easy to talk from behind a computer  I'm well aware that nobody has to do it, but... c'mon, as long as it doesn't hurt you and it for a good cause. I like to give something back.)
