Maybe we could put some focus on the expensive 2YOs (and 3YOs) that many find to be fascinating to follow, err at least I do.

For example, yesterday in Aqueduct's 5th race, Thomas Albertrani brought out Birdy Num who cost the Don Alberto stable a cool $1,000,000 being by Tapit.

Off odds were 7/2, finished 4th of 9 beaten about 8 lengths.
The barn does not have a win early reputation and she was 3rd pick on the morning line at 4/1.

I'll leave it to your discretion what expensive is, but the higher the better!

There's probably quite a few, thank$ in advance.
I've found it easier to tear up tickets at 8/1 instead of 8/5.

Here's a couple from the Baffert shedrow not currently in the spotlight....

Roadster $525,000 Broke maiden 7/29 then 3rd in the DelMar Futurity 9/3. Has two current works recorded at Santa Anita.

Tale of The Union $925,000 Broke maiden 8/26 at Del Mar, currently MIA?

Gold Standard (Medaglia d'Oro/Mi Vida), a $1.2 mil FT Florida 2YO purchase by Stonestreet, had a good worktab going at Churchill, and a breeze from the gate on 11/18, but nothing since. I'm guessing he is with Steve Asmussen.

I want to know how Gainesway got their hands on this Juddmonte homebred. Perhaps they are doing foal shares on Tapit like Juddmonte and Overbrook did on Storm Cat years ago.

Though she is not a sales horse, is Royal Delta’s only offspring in training yet? I would think Mr. Besilu would have her at his farm in Florida, but if they race her would it be her in the States or Europe?

I mean, she's by Galileo, so I would hope that she will at least start her career in Ireland or England. If she does race in Europe, I doubt the filly would go to Besilu in Ocala as a weanling and for her pre-training.

If they do plan to start her racing career in America, then yeah she is probably in Ocala.

Dessman easy winner and they said he weighs 200 pounds more than any of the others in the field.
I ran marathons. I saw the Taj Mahal by Moonlight. I drove Highway 1 in a convertible. I petted Zenyatta.

Race 5 @ Santa Anita today

Tiznow filly FLOR DE LA MAR from the Baffert barn in Godolphin colors and a price tag of $500,000.
Solid works, 4/5 on the morning line.
FWIW she's currently listed at 12/1 offshore for the Kentucky Oaks if you're so inclined ;)

The Other Baffert in the race is also a $500,000 purchase by Phoenix Thoroughbreds, BLUE MOONRISE out for her second try after a rough start last time.

Worth noting....
Hollendorfer unveils Speightstowns CHOCOLATE SPEIGHTS a $475,000 purchase for TommyTown listed at 6/1.

Harty sends out another Godolphin, Uncle Mo's LIVE THE MOMENT also at $475,000 listed at 12/1 on the morning line.

$$$$$$
