Does Bobby have enough possibles in the Malibu?
I mean, if he needs a few more he can always borrow a barnful from someone. He only has 5 possibles so far. Don't want him bored or anything.

If all stay in the main body of the field with no scratches, then I'm going with Still Having Fun. Axelrod is also a bit interesting on the cut back.

Very nice race from McKinzie. Still having Fun was much closer to the pace than I thought he'd be

Outran his odds, was 6th at the midway point.
Just outfinished by the highly regarded Copper Bullet (Asmussen) and AxMan (Baffert)
Beat Seven Trumpets home that Romans shipped in.

Jeremy Balan

Objection has been lodged by Michael McCarthy, trainer of fourth-place finisher Axelrod in the Malibu, against second-place finisher Identity Politics.

No change. I couldn't really see anything of consequence, at least from the views they showed.

Yeah, but what did Greyvitos get?😉 That was a race in which the BSF, for me, has minimal meaning. That was a salty field and McKinzie blew them away. I think a one-turn mile hits him right between the eyes. The Pegasus is worth a shot but after that I’d like to see him cut back. He was really impressive, the way he came down the stretch with his head up high, he looked like the Mor Spirit redeaux of Met Mile fame.

When you're more than 100-1 in a Grade 1, I'd suggest it's a public admonishment of the connections. I've just been months ahead of the public.

Not happy I was right. Hope the horse survives the rest of his career on the slow and agonizing rode to 5,000 claimers in New Mexico.
