Holy cow. Shancelot just crushed them in the Amsterdam (G2). 21.3, 43.4, 1:07.3, 1:14 flat. Wow.

Shancelot just ran off the screen in the Amsterdam, leaving a pretty good field "toiling in his wake". The sprint division is rather deep this year. . .

And why we're here, is Chad Summers working for Navarro these days? Or maybe Shancelot is staying in his barn, along with Imperial Hint.

Shancelot sure freaked today. Navarro said he was better than Private Zone, Sharp Azteca and X Y Jet, and the horse has done little to prove him wrong thus far in his brief career. It was hard to imagine anyone bettering Imperial Hint's effort yesterday, but Shancelot looked like he would have blown the doors off anyone in the sprint division today.

Noticed this also...…..maybe Summers is looking for a side gig in the post Biscuits days?

Check his "training" record minus Mind Your Biscuits. Navarro & his ilk are the types he is comfortable with. Anyone on backside is aware.

Mr. Money won the Indiana Derby. He’s a running freak, and he’s become my favourite 3-year-old colt.
He won the WV Derby (G3) today by 6 lengths. He may not be the best 3yo colt, but he’s become the most consistent.

He is fantastic! They have done a great job of managing him. I will be rooting for him in the PA Derby!

Omaha Beach sidelined again with a virus. Will miss Shared Belief stakes. Wonder if better just to give him the rest of the year off at this point and try again next year.

Game Winner is out of the Travers with a virus as well, which Baffert said was going around his barn. Is Omaha Beach stabled near the Baffert barn; could it be the same virus?

I really like him, he ran impressively.

Although he didn’t win any of them, I think Ivan Dalos’ colt - Avie’s Flatter - ran really courageously in each race.

from DRF.....

Omaha Beach, who missed the Shared Belief on Sunday at Del Mar owing to a minor illness, is back galloping for trainer Richard Mandella, who on Monday said he is “looking seriously” at the Grade 3, $150,000 Ack Ack Stakes at Churchill Downs Sept. 28 as a comeback race.

The Ack Ack is same day as the Grade 1 Awesome Again at Santa Anita, but is a one-turn mile as opposed to the Awesome Again’s 1 1/8 miles. Omaha Beach has not raced since winning the Arkansas Derby in April.

“A mile and an eighth is a little more than I want to do first time out,” Mandella said. “A one-turn mile is a nice way to bring him back.”

Both races would pit Omaha Beach against elders. And both are five weeks out from the Breeders’ Cup.

Mandella said Omaha Beach should get back on the work tab later this week.

Chasing Yesterday, a three-year-old Tapit half-sister to American Pharoah, has been retired.

Reading between the lines gives me the impression she hasn't bounced back from the entrapped epiglottis surgery. She has been resting and recovering at Summer Wind Farms, where she was born and now will become a broodmare. Per Jane Lyon, they've yet to decide which stallion Chasing Yesterday will visit in 2020.

The handsome Legends of War (Scat Daddy) won the G3 Franklin at Kentucky Downs. My boy Nitrous finished fifth but was closing powerfully at the end.
