Both Bodexpress and Complexity looked outstanding today.

When a lot of good horses have retired after the Breeders' Cup it's always nice to see some new players stepping up in the ranks.

Bodexpress got a 101 Beyer as well.

101 Beyer for Complexity, who looked sensational.

Could go to the Malibu.

I've found it easier to tear up tickets at 8/1 instead of 8/5.

Can they run 7/8ths at Los Al?

Not sure how many turns it would take, but more curious if there'll be a LosAl calendar this year?

So your conclusion is that once the fall Los Al meet ends, it all goes away? I think that it will go another year before the plug is pulled. Unless the purses are slashed to TUP or EMD levels, the odds are good that someone is going to want their horse to win those races and someone will ride them. Now by the same token, the goods may be odd.....

IIRC, when Doc Allred committed to improving Los Al to handle the TBs displaced from Hollywood Park and Fairplex, the track was enlarged to a 1-mile, not-quite-oval surface. Should handle a 7/8ths race with a standard two turns.

Thanks, it was meant tongue in cheek.

Performer very impressive in Discovery today at Aqueduct for Shug. Stepped up to stakes company and 2 turns for the first time and battled gamely with Tax down the stretch before prevailing late. Beautiful chestnut colt really reminds me of same connection’s Easy Goer. Will be put away until spring but one to definitely watch next year.

I would have to say he’s mostly disliked because his owners threw a tantrum after the Derby DQ. I was sympathetic until they made fools of themselves.

Yup. I don't dislike the horse--I think he's a running fool and despite the Derby DQ, he should be considered for end of year honors. His owners though? In the immortal words of the late Joan Rivers: OH GROW UP!!

Does anyone know when/if Country House is coming back?

Cairo Cat has been retired from racing.
Cairo Cat has been retired from racing. He brought us so much excitement with his maiden win at Saratoga and his Graded victory in the Iroquois. While physically well and strong after his knee issues, he no longer has the same turn of foot and is ready for a change of pace

The plan for his next phase is for him to transition out of his routine in Kentucky and then he’ll move to the Walking L Ranch in Oklahoma where I’m sure he’ll quickly assume a lead role in overseeing the operations.

Thanks for all the support throughout his career!

Warrior's Charge likely to lead cavalry in return
https://www.drf.com/news/warriors-charg ... turn?type=

Warrior's Charge was last seen finishing fourth in the Preakness. He'll be facing $2.6-million auction purchase Gun It, who won his las start by almost six lengths.

Wow. I have absolutely no recollection of this horse running in the Preakness.

Me neither. But it's been a strange year for the sport with a lot of wild headlines, so I suppose it's understandable.

A not-very-informative update on CH:

I don’t think he’s a very appealing stallion prospect at this point.

Sir Winston finished 12th and last. Chart says “bumped early, taken up.” The Street Sense colt Tracksmith won.
