Some lovely comments on twitter and such regarding the Robert B Lewis with Gunmetal Gray's hoof, Mucho Gusto's bloody mouth in the crossing the finish line and poor Kid Cantina being euthanized :(

God, I love how Battle of Midway has come back as good as he was, and a total brawler. I was pissed when they retired him because he was getting better and better, so I am pleased he came back at all.
I miss seeing him in red and white.

He did good. She foals every 2 years. Probably puts a lot of effort into her babies. Owned by Sanan.

Just looked at the chart and saw the comment that Kid Cantina wore calks.

?? I thought they were outlawed, but obviously not.

RIP Kid Cantina.

I don’t think they’re a particularly common choice nowadays? Please correct me if I’m wrong.

Tough information to get ahead of time, I don't see it mentioned in the "changes" from sources like Equibase.
You almost have to be on-track to hear the announcements.
Or, follow somebody like Tom Quigley who tweets out such stuff from on-track.
Here, he alerted followers that 2+3 in race 2 were wearing them.

****Note, I'm certainly no expert on the subject!******
I've found it easier to tear up tickets at 8/1 instead of 8/5.

I think I remember seeing a mare being sold in-foal to him at Keeneland...I'll go check.

EDIT: Yes! A Giant's Causeway mare named La Boheme was sold at KeeNov in-foal to him. She was RNA at $70K. She's half to MGSW Electrify. and G1SP Rothko.
Yeah, looks like she hasn't had a foal by him yet. We'll have to keep any eye on it.
Did some research while "watching" the game. If this gal is right, the breeders of Battle of Midway (own his dam, Rigoletta) bought the mare La Boheme. They don't seem to have much of a social media presence, but there have been lots of articles about them.

Smart!

And I don't care about the NFL or football in general but even I know that game sucked. I checked the score just because and I did like 5 double-takes because I couldn't believe it was the fourth quarter with a score like that.

The game really didn't suck. High scoring =/= exciting.

My father's football still exists and the run game proves most important once again. Grind them down football at it's best and defense still wins championships. I'm quite happy with it despite being anti NE, if just so it can spite everything the NFL is currently trying to accomplish.

I have a hunch I’m old enough to be your father and if the football I watched growing up equated to essentially a punting contest, I’d have stopped watching it years ago. If Sunday’s game had been a TV series, it would have been cancelled by halftime. You saw it differently from me. I saw far more offensive ineptitude than great defense. New England had a soond defensive plan and Goff had no clue as to how to adjust to it nor did he seem to be given much in the way of guidance.
