I've found it easier to tear up tickets at 8/1 instead of 8/5.

Very confusing pace set up for my olde brain to digest.
Mr New York went with 8-6-5-4 and the race caller in hiding went 7-5-6-3.
Wonder if Andy and Sol think they can outsprint Instagrand and never look back?
The big guy went with the 7, another who seems to want to go wiretowire, hmmm?

Sprinters stretching out, bonafide speed up front. Layoff stretching out?
Does it set up for a deep closer, probably not, but who is the speed of the speed?

I think I've seen this race before and it turns out to be a jockey's race, who will outsmart them all?
Probably not the best horse in the race, but one who can sit off and take the lead turning for home and hold on down the lane.
At 10/1 with Mike Smith riding for Bob Baffert, it seems worth a small gamble shipping into NY. BB obviously has no clue what to do with this horse as he opted for his last resort by putting him on turf last year. This is his 3rd off the layoff, hoping for some improvement today, or MUCH BETTER!

What say you?
Good luck.

Knicks Go is starting to act too much like the Knicks basketball team.

Opening set it up for a closer but still visually impressive for Haikal.
I think Instagrand's owner's hubris penalized him, he should've been back in training sooner and gotten one run under him before this.

Why did they run him in the Gotham if they're so anti-Derby? Why not just shelve him until he's four?

I didn't get the impression they were anti Derby, but rather that he was anti-triple crown. However he said he saw no point in rushing FOR the Derby if the horse isn't ready for it.
I do remember that he insisted the colt be taken out of training against the trainer's advice...

Connections should disclose if the goal is a sharpener and not to win. It's just so unfair to the betting public.

Yeah that’ll work until some horse in for exercise wins for fun.

Then again, if the horse is on the TC trail or getting ready for a run in the BC, that should automatically trigger the big ? of are they aiming for a win or a just a paid work? With less lofty objectives, of course, that would be more difficult to assess.
