We've all heard a lot in recent years that the betting menus have gotten out of hand, too many exotics, too many 20cent rainbows, diluted pools, vertical vs. horizontal etc.
Well, here's a brand new one (at least to me)
Oaklawn is offering a fiftycent Pick 4 on their feature races 7-10 Saturday, the Azeri, Rebel 1, Essex and Rebel 2.
So far so good, that should be difficult enough for handicappers to hit.
But now NYRA gets involved and advertises a fiftycent Pick 5 starting with their 7th race and then those same 4 races from Oaklawn.
Why??? Their 7th race is a $32 Claimer!
For the life of me I can't figure out the attraction for NYRA to offer up such a betting pool, or for players to get excited about.
