Hi guys!

It's been a year now since Victoria decided to step down from this forum and I've been the janitor ever since and kept it running, keeping the spamers at bay and all that. Nothing is ever for free, this forum costs money to host too. It's 220 US$ a year, which isn't a terribly high amount, but too much for a hobby for me at the moment. (I don't post that much anymore at the moment, because I'm busy with real life things)

I wanted to throw out this idea to you guys (the members): if you want to keep it going, I can add a Paypal Donate button. I can show you screenshots of the bill (will blacken out the details like my address though, but you can see it's for the hosting costs). It's entirely up to you, I'm very well aware that there are lots of other options around the internet that are for free.

Never before did something like that, my understanding is that it is possible to "claim" donations that were donated. In our case I would only claim them if we raised the money for another year of this forum. Will try to be as transparent as possible about this with posting screenshots and black out the details, because I know there is a lot of iffy things going around on the internet. There's still a bit longer than a week time (only got the invoice now and had no idea when the yearly hosting bill is due again).

Depending on the feedback in this thread of people willing to donate, I will implement a button or won't. You can also PM me with further questions any time!

Here's a screenshot of the costs for transparency.

If you would be willing to continue your current "janitorial" duties of running the forum, I would be interested in seeing this forum continue for another year, and will make a one-time contribution of $20 towards that goal.

I'm down for donating, link away! It's the least we can do for everything you do for us and for keeping our corner of the internet up & running. 8-)

I couldn't donate a lot but I would be more that happy to donate.

This is one of the best horse racing forums I have found and I'd hate to lose it

Thanks guys! I sent Victoria a message and asked her to transfer things (she owns the domain and it's registered on a different provider, it would be bad if we pay for a year of hosting and then the domain runs out). As soon as I get a heads up, I'll post the Button and then we'll see! :D

I love this forum, so I'd love to help. However, I don't have a PayPal account.
Do you accept checks? :P
