I can't remember which Saratoga race it was this past Sunday, but one for 2yo maiden fillies had FOUR Into Mischief's, out of field of seven.
Would you agree that he is probably the most in-demand/commercial stallion at this moment, at least in the States? ;)

I don't see why the Hopeful would be downgraded; I thought the field was very good this year. It's unfortunate that the rain caused Green Light Go to scratch, but the race featured two graded stakes winners and three very nice maiden winners from the meet. I think Basin is a very promising horse, and the horse he beat last out, Three Technique, was an excellent winner on Saturday. Certainly the field was a lot better than the Del Mar Futurity, which had one ungraded stakes winner and two maidens.

I think the real 2yo star of the long weekend was Gouverneur Morris, however. Pedigree says five starts at best, but he looked amazing. The other star was Into Mischief, who had ten 2yo runners at Saratoga in the past three days. And half of them could be ringers for each other. Crazy.
Recent winners of the Hopeful include Mind Control and Practical Joke, who continued their G1 success as three year olds. Mind Control is still currently racing.

The race isn't gonna draw a stellar, "super G1" field every year.

No mention of Mo Hawk? The first time Baffert starter at Los Al may not have beaten much, but he was nonetheless very impressive, both the race itself and his physical appearance.

Baffert has been high on him for awhile. If he didn’t win first time out I would have been surprised.

Saw a video on Twitter today in which Baffert praised Mo Hawk and said they had high hopes for him, also said the horse is very fast

The same connections are sending out Ragtime Blues tomorrow, also at Los Al. They haven’t hyped him up like Mo Hawk, but he had some nice works and cost $500k.

I guess Dennis' Moment, who just easily won the G3 Iroquois, is the Real Deal. :D
He came to Churchill off that double-digit-length, 97 Beyer win at Ellis, but hadn't faced this sort of field before.
No problem. :P
I'd love to see Tiznow get a star son now, since the duel-Classic-winning sire is not getting any younger.

That name is very Thoroughbred book series-y.

With over 150 two year olds from his first crop it's not surprising - but it IS sort of nice to see an American Pharoah offspring running in the race named after him.

I hadn't realized until checking the stakes entries that this race also offers Kentucky Derby points - but only for the winner, who gets 10 points towards the 2020 KY and also gets into the BC Juvenile.

(pasting in my post from the Following-American-Pharoah-offspring thread):
American Theorem is running in the G1 American Pharoah Stakes this Friday - September 27th. He's the only AP offspring in this event. It's 1-1/16th miles on dirt at Santa Anita.

Eight Rings will also be running. American Theorem has post position 1 and Eight Rings will be starting from 3rd.

Race 8, post time 4:40pm local-time so that's 7:40pm Eastern US.

This race is WAYI for the Breeder's Cup Juvenile. It also gives the winner 10 points for the 2020 Kentucky Derby.

The American Pharoah Stakes offers 10-4-2-1 points for the top four finishers.

I will be rooting for Express Train. Not every day does a horse you worked with as a foal is in a GR 1

Anything free on-line where you don’t need a wagering account? I am on vacation and the house we are renting does not have TVG like we have at home. Thanks
