I've found it easier to tear up tickets at 8/1 instead of 8/5.

Yay, Henley's Joy finally got that clean trip he's been needing.
Kitten's Joy has another good colt, beating all the Euros (and one from Japan ;) ) at their own game.

Just MHO but thought former jockey and owner of Henleys Joy Jeff Bloom gave a nice interview- well spoken, lively, nice appearance. Should give him a chance to be on-air. Has a unique perspective that viewers would find interesting.

Not sure how to diagnose this...

A remarkably irresponsible tweet. DMSO is used for a ton of things and the horse got a perfect groundsaving trip after a season of troubled ones. DMSO absolutely should not be used without reason, but wild accusations do not help.

Like, did this guy pull records showing that this was the first time the horse received DMSO? What must we now assume about Social Paranoia, who also improved to a substantial degree while giving substantial ground to the winner? The sport has enough issues already, we don't need to make up new ones and chase after them instead. UGH.

Thanks, makes sense.

I'm not sure if he still does it or not, but as of a few years ago Jeff Bloom was the morning host at DelMar on the weekends, fans could sit up in the box seats, have breakfast and Jeff had a microphone. He'd walk around, tell folks which horses were working on the track, how they looked along with a wide variety of horse racing stories. He'd take questions from the fans as well, all 'n all a great feature during non-racing hours.

Yeah, it's not responsible to do it just because no one had the winner (unless you're my boyfriend). Immediately after I went back over to see where I was wrong and I guess a clean trip does count for a lot. In a full, competitive field anything can happen.

Maybe he's the only horse in the field that enjoyed the exceptionally hot and humid weather. I could have cut the air in cubes with how opressive it was.

DMSO can be used for lots of things, but, at least in our barn, it is used almost always on their legs with furacin to sweat a swollen/stocked up leg. Not sure how much it enhances the performance of the animal, but it treats a condition...
