Blinkers must equate with good luck as I hear the ML favorite’s defeats are directly related to bad luck.
And my trips to the ATM are directly related to bad luck as well
The line for the ATM is always longer than the SAM machines at Emerald Downs. Bad luck abounds. Recently when EMD carded Corgi Races, the lines at the SAM's were the longest before those races. I would start handicapping the crowd but the horses are easier. ;)

Catch all of the racing action from Runhappy Travers Day, August 24, with FOX Sports 2 and FOX. Coverage begins at 11:30am on FS2 before moving to FOX at 5pm for the 150th running of the Runhappy Travers (G1).
I've found it easier to tear up tickets at 8/1 instead of 8/5.

@djnorth

Tracks often do little gimmick races like pony races, corgi races, mascot races, etc and even zebra and ostrich races for different entertainment. Sometimes they're for benefits and charity.

Corgis, Camels, Zebras, Ostriches, Weiner Dogs, Bulldogs........if it’s got four legs, it’ll race at Emerald Downs. I’ve been training my barn cat in anticipation of another added race day next season. I have a heckuva time keeping those blinkers on him. Without ‘em he just goes chasing after birds. In all seriousness though, if a track near you has Native American Relay Racing, go see it. That’s quite a spectacle. Terrific athletes.

There is some documentary on this too on one of the more major nature documentary companies. I think it might have been Parts Unknown before that got too depressing to watch. I remember the camera work being really good so it probably was Parts Unknown.

I hope Mitole is able to "redeem" himself. I'm ashamed to say I don't even know who else is running on the entire card. Thank God for virtual stable notifications..

Travers is a watch only race for me as I probably won't get my odds.

I can really only see Code of Honor or Mucho Gusto winning this.

Longshots for the win: Bikinis or Everfast --- at least I'll get some odds on them huh?

SAR is not my track so .......good luck to everyone. I give endorsed and tax zero chance of winning. Probably tossing the VA and FL bred ones, too. Tacitus seems like he would do better at a tad shorter and his odds will be too low to bet to win anyway. He's a fighter though. Just can't back here.

Exacta Box
2--Code of Honor 4-1
7--Mucho Gusto 6-1

If either floats up in price because newly blinkered Tacitus is the fan favorite, then a win bet will be in order.

Probably not betting this year, but I'm pulling for Tax or Mucho Gusto.
Tacitus' medical record entry from yesterday is mildly concerning, hut maybe nothing. Hope they all come back safe.

Come Dancing broke badly but stomped the competition anyway. Dawn the Destroyer was like 5 or 6 lengths back in second, with Special Relativity in third (I think) in the Ballerina.

That was a heck of an effort by Come Dancing. Broke slow, wide trip, won drawing away.

Amazing. And when she caught up to the front runners, wide and 3 abreast, she was cruising, ears straight up. You knew it was over then. That previous big number was for real.
