It's by a nosehair in the H. Allen Jerkens.

Mind Control, High Creek Hustle, and Rowayton caught Shancelot late with Mind Control winning by a nosehair.

Nitrous broke too fair back and couldn't take the dirt, I think.

I was wondering how in the world anyone was going to be able to beat Shancealot. Now I know. :(

Odd quote earlier in the week by Shancelot’s trainer that he would never run as well again as his last race. And he didn't- must have known something. Mind Control said to be in lifetime form and proved it today.

Come Dancing and Mitole were both tremendous today.

Love Tacitus, hate the blinkers on and the price but will be rooting for him. Owendale at 12-1 is fantastic. Speed has been great in the Travers in recent years, but these speed horses can beat me.

Migliore may have had the best take on Shancelot; after a replay of the Amsterdam, he pointed out that the young jock kept urging (whipping  ) Shancelot to the wire and thought the horse might regress after such an extreme effort.
The Mig said that, when he was a young rider, his trainers would have sat him down for a week if he had kept after a horse who was so far ahead of the competition. He also said that, if you keep spanking a horse when it's already giving you everything, the horse could feel like it was being punished for doing what it was supposed to do.
So...regression may well have been what happened.

WHAT a RACE!!!
I kinda hope it's a tie, because neither filly deserves to lose.

I love it when a race lives up to its billing!

I think Bisou got it, but I'm hoping for a dead heat as well.

I have great respect for RM's commentary; I've learned a lot from listening to him and also from Maggie W.

I remember quite a few people on Twitter and here were upset with all of the whipping after Shancelot was so far ahead in the Amsterdam. Is the Travers on any other networks besides TVG?

Mikey gives his horse every opportunity to win, move over and look 'em in the eye, then if you're good enough get the bob on the wire. Well done.
I've found it easier to tear up tickets at 8/1 instead of 8/5.

Midnight Bisou has just been outstanding as she has matured. Too bad for Elate, she really deserved that win. Two incredible mares!

Well guys my TV has suddenly decided to stop showing the Travers because of Nexstar or something.

That race looked like the Ballston and King's Bishop (yes I'm calling it that) finishes!
