Pegasus-saudi cup-dubai world cup

I applaud Lukas and connections for taking a shot and it's their horse so they can place him how they want...but bravazo has had 2 starts in the last year. He finished 8th in the first race, then finished fourth in the Pegasus and hasn't run since per equibase..why do I feel he's being thrown in the deep end?

Maybe the owners just want to experience the Dubai hoopla? As long as Bravazo has no health issue, why not. Even if he finished 4th he gets a nice sum. Also: Lukas never shies away to run his horses in tough spots. Mr. Z anyone?

I have been a fan of Bravazo from the getgo. Always reminded me of a Hard Spun...shows up and tries every time, maybe not as talented, but hoping his day will come. I will always cheer for him

Didn't he run in the Clark and finish up the track?

Guess Calumet didn't learn with Skyring at 70-1 at the Shadwell Mile tn 2015. Yeah, Lukas never shies away from tough spots....or a camera and microphone on a big race day.

What are the odds that every horse Lukas has of stakes calibre just happens to be the type that "thrives on work"?

I've never been a Lukas fan but truly what is the difference of him racing them or having them work 15 times between races like other trainers do? The only problem I have is, he doesn't give them breaks

I have no problem with racing them...my problem comes with placing them in races where it's blatently obvious they are in WAY over their head...and I have a problem when any trainer does this not just Lukas. Lukas just seems to do it most often. I prefer to place my horses in competitive spots where the horse will do well. But I only race allowance and optional claimers horses so what do I know?

I heard a rumor bravazo is out of the Pegasus and will run at oaklawn this winter. No idea if that's true or not...I can't find anything on bloodhorse

my understanding is that he is an AE for the Pegasus.
A filly named Ruffian...

Eine Stute namens Danedream...

Une pouliche se nommant Trêve...

And a Queen named Beholder

Yes, but he probably would have drawn in.

In any event, I'm glad the horse will be more conservatively placed to start the year. A lurking Lukas must have taken this thread to heart. ;)
