10yo Zarbys Home won his 21st race from 80 starts yesterday at Fonner Park. He had a pretty spectacular
2nd half of 2013, and was ranked 23rd by wins last year. Still gas in the tank...

Former SoCal staple,12yo Porfido, returns for his 2014 campaign this Saturday (4/5/14) at Turf Paradise in the
$35,000 Wildcat Handicap. He will be making his 73rd start in a career that began in Santiago, Chile, way back in 2005 and carried
him into some fairly prestigious races here in the states...

Good luck to the old man!

10yo Real Estate, trained by David Jacobson, won the 2nd race at Pimlico this afternoon. Real Estate had been racing
once or twice a month in 2013 under a few different trainers -was claimed by Jacobson in December and has been running weekly
throughout March. Only seven career starts from September 2006 to September 2008, and then unraced until 2013 when he was asked
to start 12 times. Hope they don't ask too much of him at 10...

Someone contacted the new trainer, who said RE will get a nice vacation, then brought back to the track.

10yo Specialfite won again yesterday at Will Rogers Downs. Undefeated in 2014 (well, he's only run twice - but nevertheless :D )

I was so hoping this might mean that he'd be retired again, but alas... At least he's getting a well deserved rest.
Been following him since he returned to the track late last year. He's a half to the late Madcap Escapade. He was bred, originally raced, and then retired to stud by Peter E. Blum. He was retired from racing at the end of 2008 and stood at Mares Nest Farm in WV. He then returned to the races, still owned by Blum, in March of 2013. He was claimed by Jacobson in December.
Pedigree Query doesn't show many progeny, but one who's been running at Charles Town is named Sharp Razor.

P.S. Does anyone have any information on his new owner - Wayne Potts?
Thanks...

10yo Bullet From Abroad (Red Bullet - Aggresive Broad, by Broad Brush) won the 2nd race at Hawthorne today, which was,
unfortunately, the race in which Caseys On Call broke down and was euthanized. Another 10yo, Shrewd Operator had to make
a hasty move from which he could not recover in order not to hit the fallen horse and another, Loosenthesecondary. Shrewd Operator
did finish 4th and last. A tragic race that could have been even worse...

11yo El Pollo Volando, by Evansville Slew, visited the winners circle today at Beulah Park. One of many geriatric racers
trained by Charles Lawson at BP. Curious as to whether Mr. Lawson, who is in his middle eighties, will move his stable elsewhere
when Beulah closes for good in a few weeks, or chooses to call it a day. A lot of ancient runners will surely miss him if that is
the case.

10yo Auroras Secret (Sea of Secrets - Aurora Slew) made his 102nd start and won his 23rd career race today at
Beulah Park. Has hit the board 60 times from those starts. That's a pretty good horse.

Auroras Secret, 102 - 23-13-24, $105,900.00

10yo Stakes Winner River Echo (Swiss Yodeler - Isleo Bebe) was a winner again at Prairie Meadows opening weekend yesterday.
Some may remember him from his West coast beginnings when he was trained by Martin Jones. There have been many famous jockeys on
his back over the years. River Echo, 62 - 14-10-11, $382,240.

10yo All Western (Western Borders - Allwan, by Cryptoclearance) made his 133rd career start (all at Camarero) and
won his 19th race on Monday (4/21/14). Still working on an already impressive record. A War Horse, for sure...

All Western, 133 - 19-31-18, $119, 329.00

Willist, an 11yo multiple stakes winner who began his career with Steve Asmussen, made his 92nd start and won
his 13th race yesterday at Evangeline Downs and has boosted his earnings this past year to over a half million. He has
been racing exceptionally well in 2014.

Willist, 92 - 13-9-20, $524,484.00

Unfortunately, it wasn't much of a vacation for Real Estate. Back to the races today at Pimlico - tried hard, but came in 7th.
