First starter, first winner for American Pharoah: Monarch of Egypt won the first race at Naas today.

Ascot is in the cards.
Is it just me or does he have his sire's expression? Same big lovely expressive eyes, and those happily pricked ears!

Also AP's handsome, 'plain bay' coloring. I love a horse with no flashy, splashy white. :P

His early runners don’t have a whole lot of chrome that’s for sure :p
He got his first US winner today and first winner on dirt with Maven, out of Richie’s Party Girl plain chestnut!

Headed to Ascot (there's a lot of other good information in this article).
"I'm getting texts from everyone watching the race," Ward said. "It's fantastic for racing, for Coolmore, for owner Richard Ravin and most importantly, for me. What I see is that he's going to be a good sire. The dam [Richies Party Girl] was a turf sprinter and I think this one is going to be a turf sprinter as well. He's had outstanding works over the Polytrack at Turfway which translates to turf. We'll run him in the Norfolk at Royal Ascot and hopefully we can put American Pharoah on the big scale as a sire."

There was no article for it, but Black Onyx was represented by his first winner March 3, 2019 when filly Proper Manners won a 5 1/1 furlong maiden claiming at Tampa Bay in her fourth start, pulling away.

The dark bay or brown filly is out of the SW Double Honor mare Usual Manner, and is trained by Baltazar Galvan. She was bred in Florida by Sorrento Oaks Farm.
