I assume that they are banking on his pedigree (Solomini). He is sired by Curlin and out of a half-sister to Midshipman and the dam of Frosted. I think he fits right in with Loaban, Central Banker and Teuflesberg at the farm.

If he had been trained by anyone else, we would barely know his name.

$6500 is laughable.
The fact he isn't available for trail rides for $50 bucks an hour is what's laughable.
He wasn't either sound enough or athletic enough (never knew which it was with him, probably both at some point) to be a trail horse, although your point is taken. Other than that, he did have some talent.

Awww I totally missed this good move.
Bande(IRE) covered only 8 mares over his first three years at Yushun in Japan.
Now he is given another chance at Haras de la Haie Neuve in France.
Good luck to him!!!

Geniale (Deep Impact x Sarafina) and G.G. Ryder (MGSW with 16 wins in 64 starts from age 2-8) both have an argument to keep their cajones. Dorrance and Classy Warrior though, no way.

G.G. Ryder should make some breed-to-racers very happy.
