done nothing but sleep and take anti anxiety/anti nausea meds for three days. the month of worrying (that i've been trying to pretend hasn't been bothering me) about the bf in the nsw fires finally overflowed last night and i was in the ER, hyperventilating and vomiting. some reports suggest it won't be properly controlled til february, and then you have the people speculating about how bad the destruction will be, which isn't helpful for anyone.

i realised today i had no clue what day it is from trying to avoid being awake or sober enough to think about it. it's saturday, apparently.

You've got quite an organ recital there! Take care of yourself!
Welcome to the board Dawn. Did you used to post here a lot about 10 or 12 years ago. If you are the same Dawn I remember you and always enjoyed your posts. I don't post nearly as often as I used to as I am super busy with my job and the boards are just not as active as they used to be. If you're brand new here welcome aboard and if you are returning welcome back.
Yup! I'm baaaaaccckkk! Get out the cross and garlic!

My vent for the day: there is not enough lotion in the world to keep my hands from drying out. I have eczema as it is, but my hands always get dry at this time of year. :(

I slipped over on rubber matting at the yard (it was non-slip, the irony  ) and basically landed sat down on concentrate over 2 weeks ago now. I have constant back and hip pain - seen doctors twice and they won’t x-ray it due to location & chances of missing a fracture. So I’m in quite a lot of pain (I’m pretty stoic) and have no idea if my coccyx is bruised or fracture or if there is any damage to my hip.

My job is very manual - teaching about large animals, so it’s not getting a lot of rest right now. Not to mention the fact on the second visit they refused to give me more pain relief and I have no idea why.

Long story short, I’m in pain

Blame the opioid addiction epidemic. I believe there are federal guidelines for how many pills doctors can prescribe. That and the fear that you may be an addct and your doctor is taking no chances.
I hope you can convince your doctor that you have a legitimate need or s\he knows an alternative.

Painkiller just posted one of the weirder commercial trollings I've seen on here.

i'm glad the US is finally aware that Aus is on fire, but i was having anxiety attacks over it back in Nov, and was in the ER over it in Dec. better late than never, i guess, except now it's all over my news feed and i can't get away from it. right as my anxiety was starting to clear up.

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban donating $500,000 along with her crying about possibly losing her home got the media's attention, (amongst other things I'm sure).

Russell Crowe was not at the Golden Globes tonight to walk on stage to be awarded his statue. The presenters said he was in Australia with his family, and they may have mentioned something about 'defending his home.' :?

Pretty sure it's okay to say it about humans, just can't say anything bad about animals here.
p.s. do you have a gun?
