No matter how friendly we promise to keep it, comments like this are so far off base it makes impossible to exchange ideas.

The polls aren't even indicating he's a contender. No one really likes Joe Biden and I can't think of a single person who would vote for him.

Half of the "legal" registered voters in the US don't even vote in primaries so I'm not sure what that's about. And again, I bet lots of "illegal" people fuel horse racing so I guess you can get a new hobby.
Beam me up Scotty.
I've found it easier to tear up tickets at 8/1 instead of 8/5.

The post Som was responding to was an eye-roller for me.
And you're right; if this site allowed political threads, it could quickly get pretty ugly.
I've known forums where it was 'anything goes.' They tended to implode and disappear. :(

Shouldn't the title of the thread be "Why we don't do politics here anymore"? Because we once had a private politics board and it was quite ugly.

You should have picked out the posting she was clearly responding too, which was totally over the top. Closing this one before things get heated :P
