Your Only Man was, IIRC, pulled up after the Old Man Eloquent Stakes yesterday.

Hanalei's Houdini fell just before the wire in LRL1 today. I might have missed an update... anyone know about the jock or the horse?

Never mind. Both are okay, TVG just reported.

I know this was a very long time ago and I'm sure you know already but he is back racing. He won his first race back on 2/27 and is training towards his next start.

Looks like Cathedral Reader broke down at Keeneland in the G1 Madison.

Did Cathedral Reader survive? Pedigree Query lists her as RIP but not sure if that was accurate.

Sorry, forgot to update this. We were talking about it on the Racing pages. Sadly, Cathedral Reader couldn't be saved. A horrible loss for GMB racing and Dallas Stewart, who adore their horses.

Any updates on him? No works since before the race.

Any news on Mandel in race 8 yesterday at Keeneland? Looked like he broke down badly but chart says went wrong, vanned off. And was claimed.

Sad to hear that Mandel was euthanized after sustaining multiple sesamoid fractures in left fore during Keeneland's eighth race yesterday. He was claimed from the race for $25,000, and Kentucky has no 'voided claim' rule so buyer is out of luck unless he purchased insurance.

So much about this sport that needs to change. RIP, Mandel.

Thanks for letting me know, Sparrow Castle. I was afraid of that but it looked so bad that I’m not surprised. He looked like a big, handsome horse. What a shame. 😥

Everyonelovesjimmy pulled up after finish of eighth race at Keeneland and loaded onto horse ambulance. Third ambulance run in four days on dirt course races. Will try to get update on her condition.

Yikes, what's going on at Keeneland? So that's two break downs / euthanized and one vanned off today. Keeneland only opened on Thursday last week.

Positive update: According to Keeneland spokesperson, Everyonelovesjimmy was “given a precautionary ride back to the barn and will go on the vets list pending evaluation” after pulling up shortly after finish of today’s eighth race at Keeneland.

Keeneland is looking a little worrisome - but dang- look at Belmont! 5 training deaths in less than 3 weeks?! That’s a yikes!

I was THERE and I couldn't get any news. The outriders have a code of silence and refuse to say anything about injured horses.

Just seen this :(

@DRFMcGee Per @keenelandracing stewards, Amandine suffered injuries during R8 on the turf course here yesterday that necessitated her euthanization. Extremely unfortunate. Stakes-winning British-bred 4yo filly was G1-placed.

Well, that sucks. But thanks for posting though, so I can at least quit wondering.
