RIP Emtech...currently I have NO inclination whatsoever to watch this year's breeders cup...its madness they didn't move it to another track months ago,..I'm praying all breeders cup horses come home safe...if they don't I foresee a major s$it show and one the breeders cup board of directors deserve to face

Where do you think the BC should have moved? You do know that the fatality rates at tracks like Belmont or Churchill aren't zero? :?

I can't say Magnum Moon dying was an unexpected thing...when they first announced last year he'd suffered a structural injury but were keeping hush about the extent I knew it didn't sound good...I wasn't going to be surprised if he didn't survive but HOPED he would...he was an awfully tough horse to make it this far

I can't find any mention of her or the Prix de l'Opera in the RacingPost news articles. Strange. :(

9yo g Grady, another hard working blue collar and very successful runner was pulled up in distress during the Mass-Bred Stakes at Finger Lakes yesterday (10/7), and subsequently euthanized. Grady was a good horse and was going for his 4th consecutive win. He won 3 Mass-Bred Handicaps at FL in the last 8 weeks, but luck ran out for him. RIP Grady (Got The Last Laugh - Lady Biscayne, by French Deputy), 61 - 18-10-11, $408,882.

Quick Call gone at the age of 35.

He had a long, distinguished life, both on the track and after. Bittersweet to say goodbye, but you wish every horse had his longevity and quality of life.

I have to say I get tired of saying "RIP" and condolences- too damn many horses breaking down and being
euthanized: i can see why people get tired of following this sport. I stick around because I love to see
these majestic creatures running around a track but it is so heartbreaking to see horses coming out of the gate
and never going back to the barn.

Looks like Buffum (Bernardini x Storm Beauty) passed away sometime this year. I saw a JC death report listed for 2019.
