Back Talking euthanized after falling in the 5th at Mountaineer. This was the 7yo gelding's 26th start; he'd won twice.

Euthanized / Died – 1 07-05-14 GUIDOPANZINI (Tr. Michael Lenzini) collapsed and died unassisted on track (possible aortic rupture), 3/8 pole, dirt.

A Sadler horse died of suspected heart attack after work at Del Mar & they're having a tough time loading it onto a regular horse trailer.

Exercise rider sensed something was seriously wrong and pulled ger up/dismounted before she collapsed and died.

Per my friend Harris Auerbach, Brushburn - Stakes winning G1 placed son of Unusual Heat died today in his retirement home at the age of 8. Yes, that's him beating Acclamation.

That's sad...and makes me wonder if both deaths were more than an unhappy coincidence. Is there a genetic predisposition for colic?
