"...two year old unraced filly found dead in her stall..."

What a horrible shock for her groom. It's bad enough when a horse dies due to injuries suffered in training or a race, but...this!? :(
I wonder if the results of a necropsy will be made known?

Poor thing. She had a hard time of it; wish it could have turned out better.
I ran marathons. I saw the Taj Mahal by Moonlight. I drove Highway 1 in a convertible. I petted Zenyatta.

Patinka a filly trained by Graham Motion (Herringswell Stables) broke down at Presque Isle Downs on Wednesday. They tried to save her but it was not possible. Two other fillies fell over her (Casanova Kiddo and Kings Tuesday) but I'm not sure of their fates.

I'm not sure which race, but per David Grening, Eric Guillot's 5th-place finisher Sir William Bruce died from cardiovascular collapse after being unsaddled.

And 3yo Chattering Gambler collapsed and died before the wire in the 3rd at DMR. What the hell is going on with these "cardiac events" in young horses?

A pic of him leaving the paddock for the race. What a gorgeous boy. His death haunts me because my husband took so many pictures of him what with his name being William.

Rodrigo de Triano(USA) died of pneumonia at the age of 25 in JBBA Shizunai where he had been pensioned.

European 3yo champion's main progeny include Japanese Oaks winner Erimo Excel, multiple G2 winner Super Hornet and so on.
He was the first JBBA stallion who shuttled to New Zealand, too.

Rest in peace, Rodrigo de Triano.

From Country Life Farm's FB:

"The Country Life family and thoroughbred community mourns the loss of Brice Ridgely today. Brice, shown here visiting Vee Vee Star and her Friesan Fire filly this May is best known as the breeder of Declan's Moon. He was devoted to his wife Mary Anne, his family and farming"
