Per one of the comments on Paulick Report, the "Navarro horse" (that would presumably be Raised for Speed) was euthanized.

Jocks reported okay, but horses?

Matt Rispoli is not okay! He has a broken leg and a fractured cheekbone/eye orbital. His horse, however, is reported to be okay. That's Suzzona.

Southwell Racecourse will be investigating the horse deaths this week - "Southwell will review its starting stalls procedures after Equitania became the second horse at successive meetings to die following a stalls-related incident on Tuesday. Kellys Eye lost his life in similar circumstances on Monday."

Hope that Matt will be fine. The eye orbital is too close for comfort.

Good. I hope they can figure out what's behind this and keep it from happening again.

Her dam is continuing to recover at the rescue, but I suspect the damage done to the filly's organs by her ordeal was too much for her to overcome. Kudos to her rescuers for trying...at least her last weeks were spent with loving folks taking good care of her.

What a sad, senseless story. The light is that according to one story, now that the filly has died, one of the charges becomes a felony. These horses were in a pen just outside of town. Gees.

Trainer Tom Voss -- an important part of Maryland racing for at least 30 years -- died last night of a heart attack. I'm just stunned.

Wando, age 14, "suspected heart attack." The last horse to win the Canadian Triple Crown (2003, I think) was standing in Canada, after years at Lane's End. Among others, he sired Turallure, lost last year.

Just last August, DRF had published a nice "catching up with" story about the kind stallion: http://www.drf.com/news/catching-wando

Shocking death of Tom Voss. RIP

Good turf trainer among other things. Loved John's Call...

Wando, Canadian Triple Crown winner, dead

Wando, Canada's Horse of the Year and Triple Crown champion of 2003, succumbed to a suspected heart attack Wednesday at the age of 14 at Schonberg Farm in Ontario, where he has stood at stud since 2011.

RIP Afleet. Loved this terrific horse. Left a great legacy. Remember his tough late run in the Sprint.
