Literally no one thinks it's a good idea.

I've added the jockeys to the individual BC threads that were missing them (due to the BC website not being updated for riders at the same time as the post positions).

As an aside the BC website is posting Workout Videos for those who've worked at Churchill

This might have been posted already and I haven't watched all the videos, but the two I watched were interesting. They are side by side (past/present) workout videos with analysis on XBTV. Scroll down the page to view each of the videos.

I've found it easier to tear up tickets at 8/1 instead of 8/5.

Just curious.....
Is anybody including trainer John Sadler's 41: 0-3-7 Breeders Cup history into their handicapping when it comes to his four entries, especially the short priced morning line favorites Accelerate and Catalina Cruiser?

Is he due?
Is it a curse?

I don’t think its the worst thing to consider, but if I were actually betting or generally handicapping, I wouldn’t hang everything on it. “Curses” and records are made to be broken.

If Stellar Wind wasn’t made to play bumper cars in the 2015 Distaff and got her nose down at the wire, would people still be this gung-ho on the Sadler Curse?

According to DRF, Gosden will not run Roaring Lion if the track is sloppy.

that is a great decision. that is what should have happened with George Washington in 2007 and he would still be with us today.

All I know is that last year, I was all-in on Accelerate and Stellar Wind even though Horsebagger kept warning people off of Sadler horses. They both ran so dismally that it's hard to approach his horses without some hesitance this year.

Looking at his list of BC starters, many of his horses never stood much of a chance- but I think some trainers are better at getting horses to the end of the year than others, and it's something to keep in mind. Accelerate already has a lot of questions independent of his trainer, and Catalina Cruiser looks like he has a great chance in the Dirt Mile, but so did Accelerate last year. Add in the "first race out of California" angle and sure, there are some questions there.

(some numbers I've run suggest that California preppers do just fine in one-turn BC races at Churchill, however. Around two turns, it's the Keeneland horses who run better than expected)

I wonder if they'll show the odds or will-pays for those wagers? Normally I stay far away from those big race gimmick bets, but if the payouts are more favorable than Newspaperofrecord's win odds...

It was nice the "Coach" gave all his mounts to Contreras. I hope they pick up some checks

"Coach" hasn't had a winner since the middle of August at Saratoga in a 40k claimer.

Derby Date is 30-1 and still a maiden and was 50-1 in the Futurity in his last.
Bravazo is 20-1 and hasn't won since February
Warrior's Club is 15-1 and last won in April in a Grade 3

Good luck Luis.

The Ballydoyle army (15 strong) made its way to the track this morning. Mendy made sure everyone knew they were at all times (hey it's as good a way as any to avoid collisions  )
