Looked like she had a chance coming into the stretch, and I can't really tell looking at the replay, but may have just taken a bad step.Le Beau Bai wrote:Side Street today at Gulfstream

Barbara Livingston just tweeted this photo of Side Street. She was a pretty girl. May she rest in peace.WarBiscuit wrote:Looked like she had a chance coming into the stretch, and I can't really tell looking at the replay, but may have just taken a bad step.Le Beau Bai wrote:Side Street today at Gulfstream

What a horrible day. Was all set to watch a good day of racing when I read about Caixa - one of my favorites. Watched a couple of races, and held my breath most of Jeranimo's race.
RIP Caixa, Six Drivers and Side Street (a beautiful young lady) - and condolences to all of their connections...

Don't know if anyone followed her, but Blonde for Ever went wrong about one panel out in the 3rd at Parx, and was released from her pain.

Sorry to hear about Patton. Wish he would have had a few more good years left to him, butbaitandswitch wrote:Patton 23 year old stallion

I only got to see Caixa Eletronica twice. Both times at Charles Town. He won the CT Classic in 2012 and finished well behind Game On Dude in 2013. This shot is from 2013. It's the better of the ones I have.

Tough, tough week for Old Friends. First Patton, and now they've lost Sunshine Forever:

Yes, 2 in 2 days, can't even imagine. RIP Patton and Sunshine Forever, condolences to Mr. Blowen and all of their connections. A tough time of year for the old ones, especially with the nasty weather...second_glance wrote:Tough, tough week for Old Friends. First Patton, and now they've lost Sunshine Forever:

That's a shock. Ironically, during the replay of TVG's 2013 show this AM, one of the guys mentioned Laughing as his favorite horse from the year. The Dansili mare had a win streak of 4 stakes, 2 G1, 1 G2, and 1 G3, coming into the BC F&M Turf.
Damned colic.
