Tattoo Molly, by Cuvee was shipped to slaughter early this morning. I hope her death is quick.

There was an effort to save her, which was unsuccessful. She was a pretty bay lady, with white socks. She was a sweet, willing girl who could have had a second career.
I want to vomit when I read this horror. Anyone know who owned her?
Disgusting beyond measure. Consigned by Gainesway, trained by D. Wayne Lukas, and she ends up like this? I would guess that the "effort" to save her meant that the owners during her race days were contacted if they are still around. And if they are, and did nothing to help - well nobody on this board really wants to hear what I think of them. Like so many, Tattoo Molly certainly deserved better. Failed by humans. This sport is screwed up - from top to bottom - and it seems that moral bankruptcy dominates...

Old Bunch (Not For Sale), a MG2 winning, MG1P stallion who was going to begin stud duties this southern hemisphere season, passed away after suffering what I believe to be a fracture of some kind. I assume he underwent surgery as he passed five days after first getting surgery.

He finished second to familiar face Hi Happy in the National Grand Prize (G1) in 2015.

As of 2017, she was owned by the same people who raced her, who were also her breeders. I know she could have been sold in the past two years. It also seems like she had problems getting/staying in foal because she only produced 2 foals. You have to think a 1/2 sister to Champion Informed Decision would be worth more than a kill price?

Well, I can't believe it. But somehow, she was saved from the truck at the very last second. Her breeder has saved her, and she will quarantine, then go home to her breeder's in Kentucky. I'm gobsmacked. And so thankful.

I've found it easier to tear up tickets at 8/1 instead of 8/5.

He certainly was entertaining. I loved this quote from Sir Mark Prescott:

Was she sold at auction, if so by who? Who put her on the truck? I think we maybe should start tracking discarded broodmares and naming names.

Sorry to hear this news, but he attained a ripe old age. Kind of a forgotten Kentucky Derby winner for many. I remember watching his Derby on TV, but I did get to see him win the Travers in person - my first trip to Saratoga ! Now who is the oldest survivor - Go For Gin, I think ?

RIP Sea Hero.
