Still really bummed about the loss of Roaring Lion. I know his dam, Vionnet, has also passed... but does anyone know if any other daughters of Cambiocorsa have visited Kitten's Joy?
Schiaparelli was bred to him this year.
That makes me happy. Thank you.

Cambiocorsa produced a full brother to Vionnet this year. I'm sure they were hoping for a sister, as she went back to Street Sense.

The Aga Khan sending mares to KJ is one of the biggest endorsements a stallion can get.

Y'all ever think of the nice horses we would've missed out on if Kitten's Joy had belonged to anyone else?

I mean this can be said about a lot of horses. What would have happened in Northern Dancer wasn't a RNA as a yearling? What if Halo hadn't been rejected from his sale to France for being a cribber? What if Claiborne hadn't sold Forty Niner to buy Unbridled?

Oh for sure, certainly, but Northern Dancer, Unbridled, Forty Niner and Halo also all come from a different time. I meant it more in the sense that with today's industry chances are KJ would've probably ended up sold to foreign interests at best after failing to fire at the sales in the first 4 years of his career.

Not very many people out there claiming 100s of mares for a shot in the dark at their homebred colt.

It's fun to criticize the Ramseys (or Ken specifically) but he has demonstrated a marvelous level of dedication and belief in one's horse any breeder should strive for.
