Mexican Triple Crown winner Kukulkan, who has encountered some stiffer competition since moving to the U.S., won the Copa Confraternidad del Caribe Stakes at Gulfstream this afternoon (12/8/19) with Irad Ortiz on board. Even though his impressive win streak came to a crashing conclusion in the Pegasus this year when he was ground into the floor, I still take a shining to him. Still don't think he understands English though...

I enjoyed seeing him crush. Decent horse and classy, within his limits.
I don’t know what it would take to lure him here but he’d be perfect for the Longacres Mile. Given that people are claiming horses specifically to run in that race, I think he’d fit and he would be interesting. It’s a G3 too.

It’s really nice to see this good looking dude back in the winner’s circle! Hoping he stays in training because I’m sure we have not seen his best.

Didn't Looch get out? He's not running in his silks anymore.

Regardless, congrats to the hard knocking War Story!

Same owners as recently, this was his first start with Elizabeth

Above was the response when I asked Acacia Courtney.
I did check back several races, and yes, Looch is no longer a partner.
Considering him for the Pegasus if he gets an invite. Easy horse to cheer for

Yeah, that's why I asked. He's been with different owners for a while but this was the first time I've seen him with Elizabeth, and the first time I've seen her name.

Good for her! Will watch her career.

TWO races ago (Pacific Classic - 8/17), War Story was in Looch's silks. The owner change happened between then and the Greenwood Cup (10/5) at Parx where he was still with Navarro (Parx is less than 100 miles from Monmouth where Navarro has space. . . ). The trainer change came after that into this race at Gulfstream(Harlan's Holiday - 12/14). Good timing as Navarro is "under a bad sign" these days. . .

Agreed. I don't think we've seen near his best yet.

Om has been retired from racing and will stand at Harris Farm in California in 2020. He is one of only two horses to ever beat American Pharoah and went on from that maiden win to notch multiple Graded Stakes. He finishes 32-7-7-6 with $1.3M in earnings
I've found it easier to tear up tickets at 8/1 instead of 8/5.

Diamond Oops (Lookin at Lucky) wins the Mr. Prospector (G3) over Lasting Legacy (Tapizar) and Imperial Hint (Imperialism).

X Y Jet (Kantharos) set a fast pace but was eased.

I really liked Firenze Fire as a 2yo, and it’s been so rewarding to follow his career. He’s shaped into a fine older horse!

He's a good horse and I believe this was his first start since the Stephen Foster. I hope he is ready to rock and roll through next season.
