XY Jet is gone

Terribly sad, his connections seem absolutely heartbroken, especially his trainer. Rest in peace champ.

X Y Jet, speedy earner of more than $3 million, dies of apparent heart attack

A little more detail in this article. But yes, definitely crushing news. He was a wicked fast horse who was clearly loved by his trainer.

Omaha Beach to Miss Scheduled Work with Foot Issue

Yet another setback for Omaha Beach, although Mandella considers it minor.

Collecting $27.60 via the DQ is indeed a rarity, but for it to be on a strictly hunch bet makes it a lot of fun!

I've found it easier to tear up tickets at 8/1 instead of 8/5.

Benbatl Starts Season With Strong Singspiel Score

I don't know if you guys are Benbatl fans or not; but you should be -- last year he won group I's in Dubai, Germany and Australia.

That was 2018! But I agree, he is a cool horse. Bin Suroor has been knocking on the door for a while with some nice middle distance horses that can win G1s in Dubai, Australia, and Germany, like Benbatl, Dream Castle, and Best Solution. However, they just don't seem to stack up against competition in the premier contests in Ireland, England, and France.

Friday update
Gabby Gaudet
@Gabby_Gaudet_

Omaha Beach galloped about 1 mile 3/8th this morning per Richard Mandella who was very happy with how the he went. Interview to come later with Mandella on @TVG
.
I've found it easier to tear up tickets at 8/1 instead of 8/5.

‘Really Remarkable’ Seeking The Soul Preparing For Pegasus World Cup
https://www.paulickreport.com/news/thor ... world-cup/

Dallas also states that, to the shock of no one (I mean that in a lol way), Seeking the Soul has no stud deal in place. That's OK because we'll get to enjoy him racing longer. I do hope he finds somewhere to land eventually, though. Lovely pedigree that I think regional breeders would appreciate.

Ooh, how embarrassing. But I do have a lot of admiration for these horses that can seem to ship all over the place and win. Interesting that the Bin Suroor horses haven't been able to crack the top prizes in Ireland, England and France.

Finished third. Endorsed (MdO/Dance Card) won.

Army Scout (War Front/Take Charge Lady) was last.

I'd forgotten all about Hidden Scroll but I am now eagerly awaiting his return.

Also exciting news (per the article) Tacitus will be running in the Saudi Cup and Hofburg will return to the races in February or March.

Acted up at the starting gate and was scratched by the stewards after tossing the rider.

That's a shame. I wonder when they will wheel him back.
