I saw my favourite band, Empire of the Sun, on Saturday. The one man (aside from my bf) who makes my knees go weak and causes my full train of thought to depart is the singer, Luke Steele. I had a plush made to look like his stage character (the band is a concept band, where the songs and albums are a linear story complete with characters, like his Emperor character). He saw his plush and got a little too excited, but hey, I'm ok with that!

Please ignore my desperate "No you cannot" grabby hands (that plush is 28 months old and has many, many, many hugs in it, he wanted it but I'd rather get him a new, clean one, which I'd love to be able to offer him. Also, excuse me nope mine too much attachment). Anyway this happened.

Also he did the point-n-smile during Chrysalis which I thought I was filming but wasn't. RIP me. Good thing is I was looking at HIM and not my phone when he did it. I died. But only for a little while, then I came back.

Also also he later said to his photographer, "Don't forget MY doll". So I guess he's not my plush anymore but I will continue to keep him safe for Luke.

I uploaded the video here, on my Instagram (and it's literally 19 seconds), but I'm including a still if you're not interested in watching;

I've found it easier to tear up tickets at 8/1 instead of 8/5.

I just made my second sale on Etsy ever, and last week, someone bought a painting privately.

I'm just so tickled that people actually will pay REAL MONEY for my art.

The first test said it probably was cancer, then they said it probably wasn't, then I had to wait three weeks for a biopsy result that should have been returned in one week because they forgot to call despite me calling to ask every day for the past week, and after all that they said it's probably not cancer but they still aren't sure. But hey, at least I'm off crutches after tearing my ankle up a month ago in an entirely unrelated incident!

This is my second cancer scare and my fourth or fifth major leg injury. I'm too young for this shit...
Made this post in May. Had surgery a few weeks ago and learned today that it wasn't cancer. What a year...

first there were fires, then there was evidence of a bad bird attack in adrich's yard... and then he noticed how long it had been since he'd seen his favourite bird, who we named franklin. he knocked on the windows and stuck his head in the seed bag and hung upside down on the gutter to look in at adrich. that was adrich's buddy. he was pretty upset.

a week or so ago, the baby birds started showing up, as they got big enough to fly. two days ago, a bird tried to pull the bag out of his hands. today, it stuck its head in the bag. franklin is definitely back :D

but he's probably a she, she was probably caring for her egg(s) and hatchling(s). we already named her tho. i guess we can call her frankie, lol. she doesn't know the difference. but he's really relieved she's back, and i'm happy for them both - she's safe and he's happy.

I haven't been around here in forever, but some of you may remember I became a published author in 2015. My first five releases were all novellas. Last month, I released my first full length novel and first "mainstream" horror novel, I'm the Last Face You'll Ever See. I absolutely love being an author, it brings me great happiness.

It's good to hear from you Matt! I remember how excited you were back then, and I'm so glad to hear that you're still out there writing and thriving. Congrats on the novel!

If it is available on Kindle, I will go check it out! I love reading so I'm always on the lookout for good books in any genre.
Congratulations!
