This mare Windy (Wild Rush) has a cool blaze. She's half to Summer Wind Dancer and the dam of Zia Park Derby winner Pass the Buck, who will enter stud in Oklahoma next year.

I could be wrong, but this dude Coast of Roan (James Street) looks like he may have some "roaning" on him. You can see a white spot on his rump. His (very skinny) mama was also a lightly colored chestnut with tiny white spots.

The Ramseys are selling this beautiful yearling colt at Fasig-Tipton on Thursday. He's by Kitten's Joy out of Treqqer (Cape Cross). Dam side has Rainbow Quest, Sadler's Wells, and Foolish Pleasure. Broodmare of the Year Natashka is also one of his ancestors.

Also, not a "unique" color, but I really love this shade of gray and the Ramseys have got one of those too! This is a filly by Kitten's Joy out of Laca (Cherokee Run). She's half to SW Chief Kitten. Second dam is Japan-bred Ibuki Percieve (Carleon), who was a G3W and MG1P in Japan.

Welp. If he's ever gelded, retired and in need of a home he can come be my pocket pony anytime! What a handsome boy.

Moonlark's son Moonhawk won again! He beat 13 rivals in Grafton's Race 6 on October 21.

Moonhawk isn't marked like his dad, he's just a blazey chestnut, but he's running well so I'll document him here.

Beautiful Devil (Devil His Due), is a 7-year-old mare scheduled to be sold Nov. 16 at the Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale. She may not have a sterling racing pedigree, but she will be the last white horse sold that was bred by Patchen Wilkes Farm.

Being by Devil His Due out of a Skip Away mare and a winner on the track herself easily puts her in the top 0.01% of colored TBs outside of the Shirayukihime line in terms of the possibility of producing a racehorse.

Indeed. Good bone; short, correct pasterns; short cannon bones; good top line; balanced; lovely shoulder; lovely head...really a very nice yearling. If I had the money, I'd definitely take a chance on this one.

Emerald Equine bought Beautiful Devil i/f to Speightster for $15K.

And the pretty Kitten's Joy/Treqqer colt sold for $8K to Kevin Rice at Fasig Tipton.

Not especially unique, but here's some pretty grays finishing 1-2 in the Jeju Governor's Cup in South Korea. The darker gray in front, who won, is Lead Money (Exploit) and the lighter gray in second is Sinui Myeongryeong (Hansen). Sinui Myeongryeong's second dam is 14-time stakes winner Strawberry Morn.

Mikki Punch is stunning. Question for the color gurus here. Is he a Palomino? If not, what causes such very blonde mane and tail on a chestnut?

I think it has to do with a flaxen gene?
