I've found it easier to tear up tickets at 8/1 instead of 8/5.

5:56 eastern time, what say you?

I'm going to give #11 SEEKING THE SOUL one last wagering opportunity due to the obvious handicapping angle.... he's happy to be back home at Churchill, flashed the bullet work, no more failed west coast experiments!

I'm really hoping the 5-1 morning line drifts up up and away, there's no real good reason he should be the 2nd favorite in here, lots of other angles to attract the money?

Me rooting for Seeking the Soul.

3yo’s with a future often do well in this race, so I’ll take a stab with Owendale thinking that his run in the BC was too bad to be true. I think 10-1 is a fair price if I can get that.

Easy win for Tom's d'Etat. Owendale nailed Mr. Freeze at the wire for second.

Awesome that Dixiana has another dam of a GR 1 winner. Tom’s D’Etat ran awesome and I didn’t think he was going to win when he was further back than normal. I’ll have to give Julia a mint and extra scratches tomorrow.

Is Tom’s D’Etat from the last (or one of the last) crops by the late Smart Strike? I know it took the 6yo a while to become a G1 horse but, with his pedigree, I hope he finds a home at a farm when he retires.

They would've been born in 2016. Wonder how they are faring?

Babylonian g. o/o Cascading (A.P. Indy) - Unraced but posting steady workouts since October at The Thoroughbred Center, most recently November 26. Late bloomer like Tom's d'Etat?
Mandy Blue f. o/o Malvinia (A.P. Indy) - Owned by Don Alberto, 7: 2-1-0 and most recently raced in July. No recent workouts.
Strikingly Lovely f. o/o Fortheloveofnell (Galileo) - Owned by Sam-Son, 7: 0-0-2. Most recently ran in October at Woodbine but DNF.
Spirit Bear f. o/o Wonderfully (Galileo) - Filly foaled in Ireland, according to the Breeders' Cup nominations site. She's not on Racing Post, though. Listed as a colt on PQ.

Cataloged for the Tattersalls December mare sale next week; in foal to Lope de Vega. Lots of black type on her page:
